9 January 2013, Singapore – From 1 February 2013, Tiger Airways and partner airlines’ (Mandala Airlines and SEAir) passengers do not need a travel visa to enter Singapore, immigration clearance, and retrieve and check in their luggage for transfers to onward flights at Singapore Changi Airport. The new service by Tiger Airways and partner airline Mandala Airways is a collaboration with Changi Airport Group called TIGERCONNECT. Changi Airport Group launched the Changi Connects platform in November last year.
Passengers just need to collect their onward travel boarding passes at the transfer desk in the Singapore Changi Airport transit area on arrival and proceed to board the second leg of their flight to Tiger Airways’ network of over 50 destinations including Mandala Airlines and SEAir and joint-itineraries with Scoot.
Should you be in transit for more than eight hours, you may choose to travel without the airport transfer feature and leave the airport to shop, sightsee or meet with friends living in Singapore.
The airline is offering airfares with up to 50% off on select tigerconnect routes if you book from 10 to 16 January 2013. Visit www.tigerairways.com for more information,
