1 November 2012, Bangkok – Recently I was in Bangkok to check out AirAsia’s new hub at Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) and stayed in the five star Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok which was around 40 minutes away from the airport.  In Bangkok, you cannot really gauge the distance by time spent on the road.  Traffic can be unpredictable with the constant being traffic jams.

The newly renovated five-star Centara Grand Hotel under the Centara Group of hotels has an impressively clean and spacious environment yet posh and warm.  The hotel is connected to the Central Plaza shopping complex by a direct link covered walkway.  The mall is one of the biggest in Bangkok with 300 shops, boutiques, restaurants and a multiplex cinema.

The nearby underground mass rapid transit and the BTS Skytrain makes it convenient for you to move around or head to the city.

The deluxe room I stayed in was rather spacious and what I liked most was the spacious bathroom which was split into the basin wash area and the toilet, a shower and a bath area.

Unfortunately, I felt that the pillows were too soft and lacked the basic support and probably need to be changed.  However, the hotel does offer a menu of specialty pillows.

And for the kinky, you will be delighted to know that the curtains for the bath area are in the bedroom so you are in control should someone else be soaking in the bath tub.
