16 January 2013, Singapore – Singapore low cost carrier SCOOT flew its 500,000th passenger yesterday upgrading Mr. Roland Teh who was travelling together with his wife and daughter to Gold Coast. The lucky family was upgraded to ScootBiz and given another three round-trip ScootBiz tickets to any destination Scoot flies to.
The airline launched its services seven months ago and has already flown half-a-million passengers with just four aircraft. The airline is expanding its destinations aggressively and has also partnered with other carriers such as Tiger Airways to offer joint itineraries.
FlyBag fares on joint itineraries originating from Scoot’s destinations except Singapore are available for booking from 15 January 2013 from the airline’s website or call centre until seats sell out. Travel on itineraries operated by Tiger Airways can start immediately while other partner airlines start from 1 April 2013.
