9 January 2013, Singapore – Plaza Brasserie at PARKROYAL on Beach Road ushers in the year of the snake with the Prosperity Buffet Feast from 28 January to 24 February 2013 and the Prosperity Buffet Feast Reunion Dinner on 9 February 2013.  Plaza Brasserie is just the perfect place to go for a family with voracious appetites.

The Fruity Yu Sheng, symbolizing an abundance of wealth and a well rounded life, is Chef Jackson’s new creation of mandarin oranges, peaches, rose apples, rock melon, dried persimmons, green mango and papaya enhanced with Chef’s Special Fruit Flavoured Sauce.    If you prefer something more traditional, there is also the Traditional Yu Sheng.

The Mini Peng Chai is available at the Chef’s live station.  The Mini Peng Chai features ingredients such as fish maw, prawns, sea cucumber, sliced abalone, roast duck, chicken, pork cabbage and black moss.

Other not-to-be missed dishes on the spread include the Eight Treasure Boneless Duck, Braised Long Cabbage with dried Scallops, Chilli Crab, Poached ‘live’ Prawns with Chinese Wine, Beef with Spicy Sauce, Braised Pork Knuckle with Dried Oyster and Black Moss, Crispy Roasted BBQ Pork, Roast Duck and Soy Chicken, Oatmeal Prawns or Butter Prawns, Eight Treasure Sticky Rice, Fish Maw Soup with shredded Abalone or Fish Maw Soup with Crab Meat and Sea Cucumber, Fried Hong Kong Noodles, Golden Fried Rice with Crabmeat and Spring Onions and lots more.

[Editor’s note: My personal favourite everytime I visit Plaza Brasserie is the Braised Sea Cucumber with Roasted Pork.]

Complete the celebration with familiar traditional Chinese New Year goodies including Pineapple Tartlets, Love Letters, Lotus and Red Date Candies, Almond Cookies, Lotus Seed Candies, Walnut Cookies, Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls in Red Bean Soup, Durian Nian Gao with Bak Kua, Traditional Egg Tartlets and Lapis Cake.

Banquet Ballroom Set Menus

With a minimum of three tables of ten people, banquet ballroom set menus are available at per table rates of S$528++, S$588++ or S$628++.

New Years Eve Reunion Dinner

A variety of options for Chinese New Year Eve reunion dinner is offered.

A banquet dinner complete with lion dance performance, a tea appreciation performance by the Si Chuan Dou Hua tea master and a guest appearance of the God of Fortune is celebrated at the BALLROOM.
