Wyndham Rewards, the loyalty programme of Wyndham Hotel and Resorts’s and its over 7,800 hotels, is offering more perks with improvements from 18 May 2016.
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brands include Days Inn and Ramada Worldwide, Dolce, Wyndham Grand, Wyndham, Wyndham Garden, TRYP Hotels, Wingate by Wyndham, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Microtel by Wyndham, Baymont Inn and Suites, Super 8, Howard Johnson, Travelodge and Knights Inn.
Last year it simplified free nights with a flat 15,000 point redemption rate. The programme has four levels – Blue, Gold, Platinum and Diamond with new benefits that increase by level. These benefits include rollover nights to annual point bonuses amongst others.
When members redeem points for their stay in one of the programmes’ top 25 destinations, they automatically receive an additional enhancement to their award night for no additional points, helping them take advantage of local experiences near their destination. These include indoor skydiving in Orland to breakfast with the orangutans at Singapore Zoo.
Another initiative launched is go free PLUS and go fast PLUS. Redemption of points in one of Wyndham Rewards’ top 25 global destinations now come with special discounts and savings on fun and engaging local experiences valued at up to US$150 per award night for members who have earned the Diamond level. go free PLUS awards does not have any blackout dates or restrictions.
PLUS awards can be redeemed in the following cities: Atlanta, Beijing, Berlin, Boston, Branson, Charleston, Chicago, Dallas, Dubai, Hong Kong, Istanbul, London, Mexico City, Montreal, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Niagara Falls, Orlando, Pigeon Forge, San Antonio, Shanghai, Singapore, Southern California and Vancouver.
Blue – The entry level status achieved on enrolment. Blue members earn 10 points per dollar or 1,000 points on all qualified stays and go free award nights with no blackout dates. Enjoy free Wi-Fi and rollover nights that do not expire toward the next member level. When booking at any of the top destinations, members can celebrate with a PLUS award of US$5 per award night towards a fun local experience.
Gold – After five qualifying nights, you get upgraded from Blue to Gold. In addition to the Blue benefits, members also enjoy preferred room upgrades, late check-out, a dedicated member services line, and US$10 toward a local experience when you redeem a free night in on of the top destinations.
Platinum – Stay 15 qualifying nights and enjoy the perks of Gold plus early check-in, an annual 3,000 point bonus which is enough to redeem a go fast award as well as exclusive Avis and Budget car rental upgrades in the US.
Diamond – With 40 qualifying nights, you get Diamond status. Enjoy all the benefits of Platinum with an annual 6,000 point bonus, suite upgrades, a welcome amenity, give the gift of Gold to a friend. Members also enjoy the most generous go free PLUS award. Redeem points for a free night and get two free tickets or passes to local experiences valued up to US$150 per award night.
