Emirates ranked Skytrax Worlds Top Airline in 2016

The results for Skytrax World Airline Awards for 2016 have been announced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2016 in the United Kingdom. Winners were chosen based on the votes and findings of a 10-month survey of over 18 million air travellers from over 100 countries.

We are not surprised that the three of the largest Emirati airlines, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways and Emirates have made it to the list with Emirates voted as the World’s Best Airline by air travellers. Emirates has overtaken Qatar Airways for the top rating from the year before.

In Asia Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, EVA Air and Qantas made it to the list.  Singapore Airlines has dropped its number two rating in 2015 back to number three which is the same as the 2014 rating.

In Europe, only Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa made it to the top 10 list.
