United Airlines San Francisco – Singapore Takes Flight

United Airlines launched its nonstop flights yesterday (1 June 2016) between San Francisco and Singapore operating on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner saving travellers up to four hours’ journey time each way. The only direct flights between the two cities is the longest scheduled 787 light operated by any airline and the longest scheduled flight operated by any U.S. carrier at 8,446 miles.

UA001 will depart San Francisco at 10.55pm daily and arrive at Changi Airport at 6.15am two days later. The return flight UA002 departs Singapore at 8.45am daily and arrives at San Francisco International Airport at 9.15am the same day.

Since March United has added new nonstop service from San Francisco to Tel Aviv and Xi-an and will also begin new services to Auckland and Hangzhou in July.

United ends its service between Singapore and Tokyo Narita from today. Customers can choose to fly on ANA’s daily flights. ANA is United’s trans-Pacific joint venture partner. United maintains its daily flights between Singapore and Hong Kong.
