Tigerair To Fly Four Times Weekly To Wuxi

Tigerair is introducing four times weekly direct flights between Singapore and Wuxi in China from 28 April 2016.

TR2940 will depart Singapore Changi Airport at 4pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and arrive at 9.30pm. The return flight TR2941 will depart Wuxi on the same days at 11pm and arrive in Singapore at 4.50am the next day.

Wuxi is the gateway to the metropolitan area of Wuxi and Suzhou in Jiangsu province. Tigerair will be the only airline to operate non-stop between the two cities. Wuxi and Suzhou are important cities in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone. Both cities have a combined population of about 17 million and total GDP of over RMB2 trillion.

Tourist sites in Wuxi include Taihu Lake, China’s third largest freshwater late with scenic views, the Grand Canal which runs from Beijing to Hangzhou and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby Suzhou has the famous classical gardens which has also been included in UNESCO World Heritage list. Enjoy famous delicacies such as Yangshan peaches and Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs.

With the addition of Wuxi, Tigerair increases its flights to 10 destinations in China including Xi’an, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jinan, Nanning, Lijiang, Quanzhou and Haikou.

Sale of tickets for flights start from 10 March. Promotional fares start from S$178 round trip.
