Qatar Airways has unveiled QSuite, its newest Business Class Suite at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest trade show, yesterday. The airline has unveiled a never-before-seen standard in Business Class travel with customisable private suites, reshaping expectations for global business travellers. The new QSuite Concept will be retrofitted on the existing Qatar Airways fleet from June 2017. The airline expects to retrofit at least one aircraft per month. It has a fleet of 194 aircraft that flies to over 150 key destinations across six continents.
The QSuite lets you fly First in Business class. With a private personal living space, there are front and back facing seats in a 1-2-1 seat configuration. These seats are enclosed with a private cabin, and the seats can be transformed into a flat bed. It is the world’s first-ever double bed available in Business Class, with privacy panels that stow away so that passengers in adjoining seats can create their own private room.
Adjustable panels and movable television monitors on the centre four seats allow groups travelling together to transform their space into a private suite so that they can work, dine and socialise together. Great idea for families, friends and even for colleagues.
The airline will be launching a new food and beverage concept, introducing a menu that offers a host of new dining choices. Currently, customers can dine on demand. Another airline that I have experienced this is on Etihad Airways. Always wondered why the other airlines have not allowed the premium customers to dine on demand. Qatar Airways will offer a selection of snack ‘sharing dishes’ available throughout the flight. There will also be a wake-up Express Breakfast should customers prefer to sleep a little longer.
Customers in Business Class can also sleep in exclusively-designed cotton sleeper suits produced by The White Company. Amenity Kits featuring a bag created by luggage brand BRIC’s and Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio products are also given out to customers, with a different set for men and women.
Qatar Airways also launched a new next-generation user interface of Oryx One, the airline’s in-flight entertainment platform. It is now easier to surf content and choose from up to 3,000 entertainment options.
Starting from summer this year, the airline will offer best-in-class flight connectivity with more announcements to come in the weeks and months ahead.
