Starting April 1, 2025, Thai Airways will adjust its checked baggage allowance for select Economy Class fares, aligning with Star Alliance standards to enhance connectivity with partner airlines.

What’s Changing?
- Economy Class Standard (K/S/V) and Saver (W/L) fares: New baggage allowance – 23 kg (previously 25 kg).
- Economy Class Full Flex (Y/B/M) and Flexi (H/Q/T) fares: Remains at 30 kg.
- Applies only to tickets issued on or after April 1, 2025.
This adjustment aims to reduce confusion for passengers transferring between Star Alliance flights, ensuring a more seamless experience.
How Will This Affect Travellers?
Passengers holding Standard or Saver fares will need to be mindful of the reduced 23 kg limit. If you tend to pack heavy, consider opting for a Flexi or Full Flex fare for the 30 kg allowance or purchase extra baggage allowance in advance.
