STAR ALLIANCE has been named Best Airline Alliance at the inaugural Australian Business Traveller awards programme.

The awards were judged by a panel of business travel experts with honours presented 33 categories including first class suites and business class seats,  airport lounges,  frequent flyer programmes, in flight food and wine and travel technology.  The awards programme recognises trend setters and game changers in the highly competitive business travel market.

STAR ALLIANCE is the world’s longest serving airline alliance with 28 member Airlines.  10 member Airlines operate flights to Australia including Air Canada,  Air China,  Air India,  Air New Zealand,  Asiana Airlines,  EVA Air,  Singapore Airlines,  South African Airways,  THAI and United.

In Singapore, 13 STAR ALLIANCE members operating flights here include Air China,  Air India,  Air New Zealand,  ANA,  Asiana Airlines,  EVA Air,  Lufthansa,  Shenzhen Airlines,  Singapore Airlines,  Swiss,  THAI,  Turkish Airlines and United.
