12 April 2011, Singapore – From today till 15 April, Thailand celebrates the Thai New Year with the world’s biggest water fight known as Songkran Festival.

People from all walks of life and different ages flock the streets and throw water at each other. Be sure to enjoy the fun street parties and cultural festivities.

Hurry and book an air ticket with your friends and headover to Bangkok.   40 minutes from the airport will get you into the comfortable accommodation in Bangkok’s central location – The Metropolitan Bangkok. With their ‘Songkran Package’ you get bed and breakfast, a welcome drink in the Met Bar and free shuttle service to the festivities. You will also be given a ‘Songkran Survival Kit’ which includes a water gun and drinking water.

  1. Thanks for telling us about this Songkran festival in Bangkok……Throwing water on each other reminds me the festival of colors named as Holi in India….Here too guys throw water on each other but it includes different colors…..
