Christmas is a season for sharing. And that’s exactly what the recently opened Sofitel Singapore City Centre will be doing. They are gifting 50 room nights to reward the people of the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) including beneficiaries, volunteers and selected associates who are unsung heroes that make a great difference in the lives of others.
“This gift provides us with the opportunity to give back to the community with a Sofitel touch,” says General Manager Wouter de Graaf. “This initiative is in line with the celebration of AccorHotels 50th Anniversary and our combined commitment to “Welcome Heroes” to our hotel. MINDS and all their volunteers, employees and associates are doing such an amazing job for our community. Our simple way of showing our appreciation for all the efforts that they have been providing Singaporeans for many, many years now.”
The Magnifique Gift of 50 room nights commenced in end November. It will be spread over many weekends in the next few months and will provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for some of these volunteer “heroes” of experiencing the Cousu Main service and luxury that the hotel is renowned for.
MINDS is the hotel’s adopted charity. It currently includes assistance for MINDS gifted artists through art curation and exhibition of selected art pieces at the hotel’s Gallery. In 2018, this partnership will likely evolve further to include culinary/gastronomy collaboration and training support as well. For more information on the organisation, visit www.minds.org.sg
