Singapore Airlines has revamped its Premium Economy Class in-flight experience with an improved and expanded selection of food and beverage options and a new amenity kit on flights from 31 March 2024. This is the airline’s first comprehensive revamp of its Premium Economy Class inflight experience since the cabin class was introduced in 2015.
Premium Economy Class customers continue to enjoy priority check-in at dedicated counters. They also enjoy a checked baggage allowance of 35kg with priority tags ensuring smooth and efficient travel. Premium Economy Class customers also enjoy priority boarding.
Premium Economy customers will be offered a glass of Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV champagne shortly after take-off. A hard copy of the menu listing the meals, snacks, and beverage options will also be provided. Customers may preview the in-flight food and beverage offerings up to eight days prior to their flight via SIA’s digital in-flight menu.
Meals are served in contemporary stonewear glazed porcelain serviceware, beautifully presented on a linen-lined tray along with neatly tucked silverware. A selection of savoury and sweet snacks such as almonds, cashews, potato chips, assorted buns, sandwiches, muffins, flavoured popcorn, and chocolate bars are available upon request on medium- and long-haul flights.
Dining on board Singapore Airlines Premium Economy
SIA has developed over 200 new appetisers, main courses and desserts. An expanded selection of food and beverage options is offered on board including two premium main course options, either international or Asian cuisine, on each flight. New dishes include Beef Bourguignon served with bacon, mushrooms, vegetables, and potato gratin, Bak Chor Mee (minced pork noodles), and Thai-style Crab Curry served with a combination of jasmine rice and brown rice, and seasonal vegetables with egg.
New seasonal appetisers that accompany main courses include garlic roasted prawns with smoked aioli and Patatas Bravas (Spanish fried potatoes), broccoli salad with hot smoked salmon, and seasonal variations of Japanese cold noodles with soba sauce. There are also upgraded bread options, such as croissants for breakfast and garlic bread rolls for lunch, dinner, and supper.
Pre-select preferred main course from the expanded Book the Cook service, up to 24 hours before departure. Popular dishes include Singapore Style Seafood Hor Fun and Chicken Biryani, and new options such as Slow Braised Lamb Ragout, Sake Teriyaki (salmon in teriyaki sauce), and plant-based wellness dishes such as Mushroom Eggplant Meatballs.
Delectable desserts include Chocolate Feuilletine Cake, Mascarpone Cream Cake, as well as Apple Crumble Cheesecake. Each meal is accompanied by a small bar of chocolate, as well as new cheese and crackers.
A wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available during the flight. A selection of wines, spirits, fruit juices, coffees, teas and soft drinks can be requested. SIA’s wines come from renowned vineyards around the world’s most famous wine regions.
New Out of the Woods Amenity Kit in Singapore Airlines Premium Economy
Customers flying on routes that are at least seven hours long can request for an all-new amenity kit by US-based manufacturer of eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle products Out of the Woods. The pouch is made from eco-friendly Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified kraft paper fabric. The contents include eyeshades and slippers made from recycled PET material and a lip balm packaged in biodegradable material. Dental kits and moisturisers are still available in the lavatories on board.
