Singapore Airlines Named World’s Best Airline and Scoot Wins World’s Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline at Skytrax 2023 World Airline Awards 

For the fifth time in the 23-year span of the Skytrax World Airline Awards, Singapore Airlines has been named the top airline globally. In this year’s awards, SIA received a total of nine accolades, including the titles of World’s Best First Class, World’s Best First Class Seat, World’s Best First Class Comfort Amenities and Best Airline in Asia. SIA also came in second after Garuda Indonesia for the World’s Best Cabin Staff in 2023 category and fourth in the World’s Cleanest Airlines in 2023 category.

Scoot, the budget airline under Singapore Airlines, was honoured with the prestigious title of World’s Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline, while AirAsia once again emerged as the recipient of the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline award. Scoot is ranked second in the World’s Best Low-cost Airlines category.

The Skytrax awards are determined through surveys conducted among over 20 million travellers from over 100 nationalities. These surveys took place between September 2022 and May 2023, during which participants provided ratings for over 325 airlines.

Qatar Airways came in second, followed by All Nippon Airways, Emirates, Japan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Air France, Cathay Pacific, EVA Air and Korean Air. Qatar Airways won the World’s Best Business Class Airline. EVA Air won World’s Best Premium Economy Class Airline and Japan Airlines won the World’s Best Economy Class Airline.
