Singapore Airlines’ latest service mySQupgrade is an invitation-only bidding system that allows customers booked on an Economy Class seat to bid for a seat in Premium Economy Class. Singapore Airlines will gradually introduce this service across the network.
If your booking is eligible, you may receive an email invitation to bid seven days before departure. Invitations are based on certain criteria and combination of factors which are dynamic. Make sure your email address is correctly indicated when you make your booking. Not all flights in your booking may be eligible for bidding. The flight has to be operated by Singapore Airlines and you must have a confirmed reservation for the flight.
All bids are in Singapore Dollars and you will only be charged for your bid if it is successful. Bids have to be between a preset range of a minimum and maximum bid value. Move the slider to indicate how much you like to bid. Your bid will be measured by a strength meter which shows the strength of your bid, though that is not an indication of the success of your bid. While travelling with a child, you can submit a bid to upgrade as long as your child is not an infant. You can submit only one bid for all passengers in our booking, including any child, and that the bid amount for all passengers will be the same.
You can also make, change or cancel your bid for an upgrade any time before 50 hours to departure. You will receive an email 48 hours before departure if your bid is successful. Your bid will be charged to any American Express, MasterCard or Visa credit cards and labelled with “SINGAPOREAIR MYSQUPGRADE” on your card statement. You cannot pay your bid with KrisFlyer miles. Do note that an authorisation request will be made against your credit card upon submission of your offer as part of the validation process. Your card will not be charged the request amount.
With every successful upgrade, you will enjoy the Premium Economy Class experience on the flight associated with the bid. This includes the enhanced food & beverage options, increased baggage allowance, and priority check-in, boarding and baggage handling. The fare conditions of your ticket remain unchanged and any KrisFlyer or Elite miles accrual are based on the original ticket.
