Singapore Airlines is set to invest S$1.1 billion to upgrade 41 of its Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft with the latest long-haul cabin products, aiming to elevate the premium travel experience across its network. SIA Engineering Company in Singapore will manage the retrofit, with the first A350-900 long-haul aircraft anticipated to enter service in Q2 2026, followed by the first A350-900ULR variant in Q1 2027. The entire project is slated for completion by the end of 2030.

Seven of Singapore Airlines’ A350-900ULR aircraft will feature a luxurious First Class cabin, with plush seating designed to offer an unmatched in-flight experience. The new Business Class seats, to be installed across all 41 aircraft, bring innovative design elements that enhance privacy, comfort, and convenience.
Built from the ground up, these cabin products feature a spacious layout and ergonomic details. The same seating designs will be included on SIA’s upcoming Boeing 777-9 fleet.
Premium Economy and Economy Class cabins will also receive a refresh, offering greater personalization options and an enhanced KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system with a wide range of lifestyle choices across all classes.
The 34 A350-900 long-haul aircraft will be configured with 42 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 192 Economy Class seats. The seven A350-900ULR aircraft will include four First Class seats, 70 Business Class seats, and 58 Premium Economy seats. Full details will be disclosed closer to the entry into service of the first Boeing 777-9 and retrofitted A350-900 aircraft.
