Singapore Airlines has signed agreements to order 30 more Airbus A350-900s (delivery from the 2016/17 financial year with option for 20 more) and 30 Boeing 787-10Xs (delivery from the 2018/19 financial year conditional upon Boeing formally launching the B787-10X programme) worth over US$17 billion.

SIA will use the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB for the A350-900 and it has not decided on the engine selection for the B787-10Xs.  The A350-900s will be used for the medium and long-range routes while the B787-10Xs are intended for use on medium-range routes.
