SilkAir To Take Over Singapore Airlines’ Day Flight to Colombo in April 2017

SilkAir will operate three flights per week taking over Singapore Airlines’ SQ466 and Sq467 service to Colombo, Sri Lanka from 8 April 2017. Singapore Airlines will continue to operate its daily night flight SQ468 and SQ469.

This move will optimise the utilisation of the Singapore Airlines’ Group’s resources and present a better match of capacity to demand, extending the SilkAir network to 53 destinations across 15 countries.

MI428 will depart Singapore for Colombo on Wednesday, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8.50am arriving in Colombo at 10.05am. MI 427 departs Colombo on the same days at 11.30am and arrives in Singapore at 6pm. The flight timings will be the same as as the flight operated by Singapore Airlines currently.

Flights will be made available for booking through the SilkAir website, call centres and travel agents progressively. Customers who have made advance bookings to fly the Singapore-Colombo route on Singapore Airlines will be re-accommodated on SilkAir’s new services or alternative Singapore Airline services.
