SilkAir Inaugural Flight Takes Off To Laos Earlier Today

SilkAir has taken off today on its inaugural flight from Singapore to Vientiane and Luang Prabang in Laos today increasing its flight routes to 51 destinations in 14 countries. MI788 took off from Changi Airport at 1.20pm today and arrived at Vientiane’s http:attay International Airport at around 3.13pm today. It will depart at 4.05 pm for Luang Prabang and arrive at 5pm. The return flight will take off at 5.50pm and is expected to land in Singapore tonight at 10.05pm.

The regional subsidiary of Singapore Airlines will fly three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays with same-day return utilising its Airbus A320 aircraft.

To mark the inaugural flight, passengers on the first flight out of Singapore and Laos were presented with exclusive SilkAir gifts as well as an inaugural flight certificate signed personally by SilkAir’s Chief Executive, Mr. Foo Chai Woo and the Commander of the flight, Captain Sheldon Rasquinha.
