SilkAir To Fly To Fuzhou from 21 November 2016

SilkAir will launch flights on its Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Fuzhou, China from 21 November 2016 subject to approvals. The airline will fly four times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Fuzhou will be the regional wing of Singapore Airlines’ 11th Chinese city.  It currently flies to these Chinese cities – Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Kunming, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Xiamen. Singapore Airlines destinations in China include Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai. Addition of this destination will increase SilkAir’s route network to 52 destinations in 14 countries. SilkAir now flies to Australia, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore.

MI990 will depart Singapore on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 10.35am and arrive in Fuzhou at 3.05pm. The return flight, MI989 will depart Fuzhou on the same day at 4.15pm and arrive in Singapore at 9pm.

Fuzhou is located in south China and is the capital of the Fujian province. It is famous for its sea views, mountains and historical sites. It is also know as the “city of banyans” because of the numerous Banyan Trees planted here. Other attractions in Fuzhou include forest parks, historic temples, ancient style architecture and old streets. When you are in Fuzhou, you have to visit the West Lake Park, Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Pingtan Island and Xichan Temple.

Fuzhou customers transiting in Singapore on to another SilkAir or Singapore Airlines flight can enjoy S$40 Changi Dollar vouchers for use in Changi Airport.
