SilkAir will be offering direct charter flights between Singapore and Okinawa, Japan’s southern most prefecture between 1 and 25 June 2016.

The flight time from Changi Airport to Naha, the capital of Okinawa is around five hours 15 minutes. Flight MI8384 will be depart Singapore at 11am and arrive in Okinawa at 5.15pm  while return flights MI8383 depart Okinawa at 6.15pm and arrives in Singapore at 10.45pm on the following dates:

  • 1 June 2016
  • 5 June 2016
  • 9 June 2016
  • 13 June 2016
  • 17 June 2016
  • 21 June 2016
  • 25 June 2016

This direct air link is the collaboration of SilkAir, the Okinawa Prefecture Government and Changi Airport Group.

Singapore travel agents will market packages including these flights to the leisure travellers here in Singapore.

Flights will be operated on SilkAir’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft with Business and Economy class cabins. Baggage allowance in Economy is 30kg and 40kg in Business.  Enjoy inflight entertainment via SilkAir Studio and stream your entertainment directly to your personal devices.

Okinawa is made up of hundreds of the Ryuku islands which extend southwest from the southern end of mainland Japan to Taiwan. Okinawa’s capital, Naha is on the southern part of Okinawa Island which also houses The Shuri Castle, a registered UNESCO World Heritage site.
