SilkAir debuted its newest and 25th aircraft. Flown in from Everett in Washington, SilkAir’s Boeing 737-800NG aircraft (airplane registration 9V-MGA) was parked on the grounds of the Changi Exhibition Centre a day after the Airbus A350 xwb’s second test plane MSN003 departed back for Toulouse, France.

SilkAir Boeing 737-800NG Business Class
There are 12 leather seats with seat pitch of 39″ and 8″ of incline, adjustable headrests and legroom ensemble. Customers can charge their laptops and devices with the three-pin and USB in-seat power outlets available on below every seat. Passengers also get to enjoy local delights and a selection of wines on board.
SilkAir Boeing 737-800NG Economy Class
Economy seats in SilkAir’s new Boeing 737-800NG have a seat pitch of 30″ with a 5″ incline. Soft blankets and pillows are provided for guests’ comfort. There are two power outlets for every three sets of seats. There is a handy compartment at the back of the seat above the tray table where you can put in your mobile devices and other belongings.
Throughout the aircraft, there are 11″ drop down television screens. In-seat audio is a new feature so that now you no longer have to watch silent features.
In Business Class, Lenovo tablets are available on request to enjoy a variety of multimedia content including movies, TV programmes and music. This in flight entertainment is powered by Panasonic Avionics Corporation’s eXW Wireless IFE solution.
SilkAir will have a fleet of six Airbus A319-100, 16 Airbus A320-200 and four Boeing 737-800NG this year. It has a firm order of 23 Boeing 737-800s and 31 Boeing 737 Max 8s.
