Scoot’s flight TZ8 was the venue that Janessa Li and Benjamin Lee exchanged wedding vows on 11 February on their way from Singapore to Perth. Cabin crew were dressed as angels and cupids, while friends and family members of the newly wed joined in the flight.
The couple checked into the Novotel Vines Resort in Swan Valley on Wednesday and are enjoying a six-day honeymoon in Perth. Read our review of Novotel Vines Resort here.
“Scoot is renowned for fun having, amongst much else, facilitated numerous birthday parties and anniversary celebrations over the past four years. But we have our romantic side too. We’ve hosted numerous onboard wedding proposals – including a great effort from one of our crew – and in 2013 TZ301 saw world’s longest inflight kiss stretch all the way from Bangkok to Singapore,” said Campbell Wilson, Scoot’s Chief Executive Officer. “This Valentine’s Day, we’ve jumped in to help Benjamin – nominated by his fiancé as the most un-romantic person around – tie the knot with the lovely Janessa whilst Scootin’ to Perth.”
Scoot had a “Spoil Market Lah” campaign to transform the most unromantic man in Singapore into one who could make grand gestures of love. The wedding was the culmination of the campaign. Tourism Western Australia was a partner in this collaboration to feature Perth as a romantic getaway.
