Sir Richard Branson shaved his legs during a cocktail event in Perth last night, slipped into a sexy red skirt and took to the skies earlier this morning (12 May 2013) from Perth to Kuala Lumpur on AirAsia X flight D7 237. He spent five and a half-hours pouring coffee or tea, serving meals, distributing goodies, entertaining and making in-flight announcements during the charity flight to raise money for Starlight Children’s Foundation.
This day finally happened two years after Richard and Tony Fernandes wagered on which of their Formula One racing teams would finish ahead of each other in their debut season of the 2010 Formula One Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi with the loser serving as a female flight attendant on board the winner’s airline.
AirAsia X will contribute A$100 from each seat sold to the Starlight Children’s Foundation in Australia. It expects to raise over A$200,000 from activities during the cocktail and in-flight today.
At the Low Cost Carrier Terminal in Kuala Lumpur today, there was a brief graduation ceremony for Richard Branson. Tony Fernandes handed Richard an AirAsia Cabin Crew Graduation Certificate along with the AirAsia crew uniform and shoes.
Now check out this hilarious safety demonstration as Sir Richard Branson tries to catch up with the announcement, as filmed by AirAsia X CEO AZran Osman-Rani.
