Review: Fraser Suites Sydney Studio

Step into Fraser Suites Sydney and you walk right into a spacious and welcoming lobby. The friendly staff at the check in counter on the left after entering the lobby is quick to attend to guests. Three of us arrived on 13 October 2014 before the designated check in time, and only one room with a king bed was available.

That means that two of us were not able to check in so soon. We were given the option to head to the twelfth floor which houses the gym and pool. We could freshen up over a quick shower while we leave our luggage with the concierge at the lobby.

That was exactly what I did especially after a 7 1/2 hour red eye flight from Singapore. Headed up to the twelfth floor for a quick shower where the fitness centre and indoor pool were also located.

I was still feeling a little groggy and exhausted from the flight. HI only only one hour while trying to digest my supper and breakfast while catching three movies and two television series.

The rooms were ready pretty quickly and I didn’t have to wait too long for them. I got a 26.7sqm Studio room on level 20. Studios can accommodate two people.

Because of the structure of the bulding, the rooms were all close to the lift lobby.

Fraser Suites Sydney - Kitchenette

The first thing in sight when I stepped into my studio at the Fraser Suite Sydney, was the kitchenette which came equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and tea making facilities, microwave oven and mini bar. The basin in the kitchenette provides added convenience for rinsing the cups before use. Wonder why most hotels place the tea and coffee making facilities away from the wash basin, and usually quite a distance from the bathrooms too.

The bathroom is spacious for one and quite self sufficient. L’occitane toiletries are provided.

What I liked about the location is its close proximity to food and drinks in the next door building. I could walk to Queen Victoria Building in five minutes to meet up with a friend for tea and from there walked around downtown Sydney.

Fraser Suites Sydney is located at 488 Kent Street, Sydney, NSW 2000, Australia.
