Qantas Group was recognised today at the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards held today at the Paris Air Show as having two leading airlines in the Australia-Pacific region.

Qantas was awarded Best Airline Australia-Pacific (Top 10 in the world) and Jetstar Airways awarded the Best Low Cost Airline Australia-Pacific (number two low cost carrier in the world). The results were a result of polling over 18 million passengers from 160 different countries.

Qantas has one of the youngest fleets of any legacy airline and has invested in more training, new lounges and better on-board products.  In the last 12 months, the airline introduced mattresses for international Business Class, updates to menus and wine lists, launched a new lounge in Singapore’s Changi Airport, use iPads to stream inflight entertainment on domestic routes and launched the Qantas+Emirates partnership.
