COMO and MasterCard have teamed up for the fifth consecutive year to give back to local communities from 1 October to 31 December. Stay in any of COMO Hotels and Resorts’ 12 properties around the world and pay with your MasterCard. MasterCard will contribute US$25 for every transaction through its ‘Purchase with Purpose‘ programme to a non-profit organisation or school within each destination. You don’t have to pay anything extra.
This initiative has raised over US$160,000 for over 2,700 beneficiaries in the past years. It has supported programmes such as hospitality training for high school students and undeserved women in Bangkok, the Maldives and the Turks and Caicos. Financial support has been offered to students and entrepreneurs in Bali and Bhutan, and training for women in London.
Beneficiaries this year include Teens Unite, Goodwill Group Foundation, Feeding South Florida, Maafushi and Guraidhoo Secondary School, Guraidhoo Island Hospital School, Raymond Gardiner High School, Payanukul School, Loden Foundation, Peduli Sesama Philanthropic Work, Yayasan Kenausiaan Ibu Pertiwi and Beautiful People.
