Oman Air recently announced it will start daily commercial services between Muscat to Singapore from 29 March. It will also fly its B737 aircraft between Muscat and Goa on the same day and on the A330 aircraft to Dhaka from August 2015. In December 2014, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman commenced service between Muscat and Manila as well as Jakarta.

WY822 departs Singapore at 9.20am and arrives in Muscat at 12.15pm while WY821 departs Muscat at 9.45am and arrives in Singapore at 9pm. The flight from Singapore to Muscat takes 6 hours 55 minutes while the Muscat-Singapore flight takes 7 hours 15 minutes

Oman Air will operate its Airbus A330 on the Singapore route daily. Return fares from Oman to Singapore can be booked online from OMR234.8 for Economy Class or OR814.8 on Business Class per person inclusive of taxes and charges.

According to its website, Oman Air has three Airbus A330-300 aircraft which has a seat configuration of 6 First Class 20 Business Class and 204 Economy Class seats. Seats are configured 1-2-1 in First and Business and 2-4-2 in Economy.

Oman Air’s business class seats offer a 17 inch personal monitor and a 77-inch long full lie-flat bed.

In Economy, the seat pitch is 34 inches with multi-plug (USB and RCA Video) back mounted next to the 10.6 inch LCD screen and one PC power port and RJ45 Ethernet plug per double seat.

It also has another four A330-200s with 20 Business class seats and 196 Economy Class seats in the same configuration as the A330-300s.

On 29 March 2015, VIP guests including His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asad Al Said, a member of the Royal family of Oman, joined Oman Air’s inaugural flight from Muscat to Singapore.

Paul Gregorowitsch, Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer since 2014, shared that there has been high demand for seats following the airline’s announcement of service between Muscat and Singapore. Singapore is one of the most popular destinations in the world for both business and leisure travellers.

Oman Air was established in 1993 and has a fleet of six A330-300, four A330-200, two B737-900, 19 B737-800, one B737-700, four Embraer 175, and two ATR 42-500. It flies to 45 international destinations and four domestic points within Oman and has code share arrangements with Emirates, Ethopian Airlines, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, Sri Lankan Airlines, Turkish Airlines and Malaysia Airlines.

Frequent travellers on the airline can earn frequent flyer miles on Sinbad frequent flyer programme. Sinbad has three tiers – Blue, Silver and Gold offering more privileges to Silver and Gold members such as complimentary Airport Lounge access, additional baggage allowance, duty free discounts of up to 10% discount on Oman Air In-flight Duty Free, check in at priority counter, priority baggage handling, double miles on your first flight and others.
