Two new Accor properties, the Novotel and ibis Stevens, will add an additional 782 hotel rooms to Singapore by the end of 2016, making it Accor’s largest hotel development in this region. Developed by Oxley Gem Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Oxley Holdings Limited, the two newly built properties at what used to be Pines at 30 Stevens Road will be managed by AccorHotels. The Pines Club will be transformed into a 29,500 sqm mixed development of hotels, commercial facilities and a club house. The hotels will take up around 18,477 sqm of land area. We understand from Accor that the previous building in the area has been demolished and excavations have begun.
Novotel Singapore on Stevens will feature 254 rooms, food and beverage outlets, a swimming pool and a fitness centre, a 500 seat ballroom and meeting rooms. The ibis Singapore on Stevens will feature 528 rooms, a lobby bar and cafe and a gymnasium. Both the Novotel and ibis are centrally located. They are minutes way from Orchard Road by car.
Novotel and ibis have a combined network of over 400 hotels and resorts in 60 countries while ibis has a network of 1,000 hotels in 59 countries.
[Update 21 November 2017: The ibis Singapore on Stevens will become Mercure Singapore on Stevens and accept guests on 1 December 2017. Novotel Singapore on Stevens is already accepting guests]
