Construction for the new passenger terminal building on the eastern side of Seletar Airport in Singapore is expected to begin in October this following the call for tender yesterday. The new terminal building is expected to be ready in end-2018.

The new terminal building will provide improved facilities and amenities allowing Seletar Airport to accommodate traffic growth. Seletar Airport is part of the larger Seletar Aerospace Park and the new terminal building is expected to support growing general aviation activities. It will also offer a private and efficient business aviation gateway to Singapore.

The new terminal building will replace the current passenger terminal building on the western side of the Seletar Airport. Turboprop aircraft operations will also be shifted from Changi Airport to Seletar Airport to help free up capacity for jet aircraft operations at Changi Airport.
