Sheraton Hotels & Resorts launched the Sheraton Grand brand in August this year. Properties under the Sheraton Grand brand are hand-selected based on a specific list of criteria ranging from sophisticated design and sought-after destinations, to standards of service and impressive hotels amenities. Sheraton Grand is one of the many initiatives currently underway for Sheraton 2020, a comprehensive 10-point plan revealed in June this year to put Sheraton Hotels and Resorts back into the global spotlight. It also spent US$100million on a marketing campaign, launched a new elevated food and beverage loyalty programme known as Paired as well as guest experience innovation amongst other initiatives. It intends to open over 150 new Sheraton Hotels globally by 2020.
Today five properties join existing Sheraton Grand properties in Bangalore, Beijing, Dubai, Edinburgh, Rio de Janerio, Miyazaki in Japan, Bangkok, Tokyo Bay, Walkerhill in South Korea, Phoenix in Arizona and Chicago.
There five properties recently added to the Premier Tier include:

- Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Wetland Park Resort
- Sheraton Grand Xishuangbanna Hotel
- Sheraton Hangzhou Binjiang Hotel
- Sheraton Grand Incheon Hotel
