Marriott Introduces Three New Marriott Rewards Benefits

Marriott International Inc has introduced three new benefits for its Marriott Rewards loyalty programme. These three new benefits include an experience marketplace, a new Elite concierge service and a Guaranteed late checkout for Gold and Platinum Elite members and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards.

Experiences Marketplace

All Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards members can choose from curated special events and opportunities for discovery. You could catch a Broadway show, or hang out with your favourite sports team, attend a private cooking lesson or taste wines with a world-famous chef or sommelier. Redeem your rewards points to access a marketplace of unique experiences. The experiences marketplace will be available globally in late May.

 

Elite Concierge Service

Marriott will invite an initial group of Elite members of Marriott Rewards to participate in a new Elite concierge service. The concierge will be able to anticipate members’ unique needs, ensuring the member’s preferences are recognised and desires are met before, during and even after their stay.

The concierge will be able to able to reserve on-property amenities such as restaurants, spa treatments and golf, as well as make arrangements for special occasions. The service will also launch in late May first for U.S. members of Marriott Rewards travelling worldwide and will continue to expand. Feedback will be sought from the group of charter members to refine this service.

Guaranteed Late Checkout

Gold and Platinum Elite members of both Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards will enjoy guaranteed late checkout, as late as 4pm. Members can request the late checkout when making a reservation by phone or when checking in using the Marriott Mobile app, or upon arrival at the hotel.

This is available at all fully participating Marriott Rewards hotels except resorts, convention hotels and Marriott Rewards Club. Silver members will be able to continue requesting late checkout on their day of departure.

Guaranteed late checkout will be available from 16 May 2016.
