Malaysia Airlines to launch flights to Danang, Malé and Chiang Mai later this year

Malaysia Airlines will be launching new direct flights from its main hub in Kuala Lumpur to Malé (MLE), Danang (DAD) and Chiang Mai (CNX). Daily flights to Malé in Maldives will start from 1 August 2024, and daily flights to Danang, Vietnam will start from 24 September 2024 and five times weekly flights to CNX will start from 15 August 2024.

This will make the airline’s 13th destination in South Asia and 16th in ASEAN as it seeks to boost its presence within key markets, strengthening its position as the gateway to Asia and beyond in line with its commercial elevation journey.

This was announced on the same day the oneworld alliance member airline announced its strategic multi-year partnership with Manchester United football club as its Official Commercial Airline.
