Malaysia Airlines issued a travel advisory this evening reducing the checked baggage allowance for flights to Amsterdam and Paris on 5 to 6 January 2016. This temporary limitation on checked in baggage is not applicable to flights from Kuala Lumpur to London operated by the Airbus A380 aircraft.
The airline is limiting its ability to carry baggage in cargo in the interest of safety due to temporary unseasonably strong head winds. The strong head winds would mean a longer flight path which consumes more fuel. Passengers who wish to check in their luggage will be able to do so but will arrive only later.
Only cabin baggage of up to one piece of 7kg for Economy Class passengers and two pieces of 7kg for Business/First Class passengers are allowed.
Malaysia Airlines operates the Boeing 777-200 aircraft from Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam and Paris. Find out more information before your flight for any other travel advisories on Malaysia Airlines website.
