Lufthansa’s frequent flyer programme gets a Chinese name “飞常里程汇” and logo from 1 July 2013 to provide a more locally dedicated loyalty programme to its Chinese members as well as to attract more potential passengers to join the programme.  There are currently 500,000 members in China.

“The launch of our Chinese name and logo is part of our 20 years anniversary celebration and a milestone of Miles & More’s development in China. From now on, Chinese passengers can experience the localized touch of the programme, which brings even more benefits to them. ” said Joachim Steinbach Managing Director Miles & More International GmbH. Chinese members can earn miles when they fly with Star Alliance members like Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines as well as Air China and Shenzhen Airlines. With the Miles & More Credit Card issued with HuaXia Bank, award miles can be earned with every purchase. Moreover, members can profit from the local partner network, giving them plenty of opportunities for earning and redeeming miles with partners from various business areas.

2013 is Miles & More’s 20 year anniversary.  Today the programme has more than 24 million members worldwide, more than 40 participating airlines and over 350 partners.  The airline is offering a draw offering prizes as well as attractive mileage offers this year.
