KLM unveiled on 7 October 2014 its 95th Delftware miniature house it gives to World Business Class passengers on intercontinental flights in celebration of the Dutch airline’s 95th anniversary.
This year’s miniature house is dedicated to the HEINEKEN Brewery in Amsterdam. HEINEKEN is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. The HEINEKEN Brewery was built in 1913, replacing the old brewery that was on the Stadhouderskade in Amsterdam since 1968. Around 90,000 people visited the brewery then. Today some 600,000 visitors from around the world visits the building for the Heinken Experience.
Heineken and KLM has been working together including the development of the new World Business Class lounge at Schipol International Airport as well as the Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition to inspire sustainable growth. Heineken is served on board KLM flights.
To celebrate to release of this latest miniature, the first piece was presented to Mrs de Carvalho-Heinken and Mr van de Bur by KLM President and CEO Camiel Eurlings.
