Explore Singapore through a variety of new interactive art introduced in all three terminals of Singapore Changi Airport. Singapore Tourism Board and Changi Airport Group has embarked in a two-year partnership to boost awareness and visits to Singapore and our international airport.
Changi Trishaw Returns (T1)
The Trishaw display returns and is at the exact spot where the first Trishaw display was when T1 opened in 1981. Snap a few photos before heading off to your flight. With a back drop of Joo Chiat Road located in the eastern part of Singapore that is rich in the Peranakan Nonya culture, a photo here makes a colourful memory.
Make It Your Singapore Showcase (T2)
The next time you are at Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 Departure transit lounge, check out the new flip-dot wall. You can find this wall net to the Skytrain station near the F gates. This is the first time interactive technology is being introduced at Changi Airport for the first time.
Stand in front of the wall and when motion is detected, you can opt to take a portrait. Pick a backdrop such as Singapore’s iconic Gardens by the Bay, Merlion Park or the Kinetic Rain Art Installation in Changi Airport. Your portrait is superimposed on it and the creation would appear on the screen in black and white flip-dot display. What’s more, you can send to friends and family by email.
Motion Silhouette Wall (T2)
On the other side of the Make It Your Singapore Showcase interactive screen is a Motion Silhouette Wall. It responds to movements in real time adopting the same motion-sensing technology. The backdrops and patterns change as you move and interact with the animation in front of the wall.
3D Cardboard Showcase (T3)
Located at the baggage carousel 43 in Terminal 3 is a 3D cardboard showcase of Singapore’s iconic landmarks including Singapore Flyer, the Sultan Mosque, the Super Trees and Flower Dome of Gardens by the Bay. Snap a photo or two with these cardboard icons while waiting for your luggage to arrive.
