Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park that hosts various musicals, restaurants, attractions and theme rides using popular Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty and My Melody. While many of these attractions are only in Japanese, Puroland attracts many visitors globally because of the worldwide popularity of these characters, especially Hello Kitty. Puroland also has an extensive gift shop selling Sanrio character merchandise, and as reported by a TripAdvisor traveller: “The shops are to die for… there are too many hello kitty items that you’ll want to bring home.”
