Finnair Offers Full-Flat Seats to Nine Long Haul Destinations

Finnair will offer the Zodiac Seats UK Vantage full flat seats in Business Class to Tokyo and New York (from 1 April 2014), Beijing and Seoul (from 1 May 2014) and Hanoi Hong Kong, Nagoya, Osaka and Shanghai (from 1 June 2014). Finnair has spent 29 million-euro to retrofit most of its wide-body fleet of Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft.

These seats are already in use on Finnair’s four newest Airbus A330s and a re designed to transform into a full-flat bed of up to 200cm with shoulder room of 58cm. These fully adjustable seats also come with an individual reading light, adjustable head rest, mood lights and a range of inflight entertainment options.

Upon full completion of the full-flat retrofit programme, Finnair’s long-haul Airbus fleet will have full-flat seats in Business Class with the exception of three older aircraft which continues to feature angled lie-flat seats in Business Class. They will be replaced with the fleet’s next-generation Airbus A350XWBs when they arrive next year.
