Originally built in 1966, the hotel’s structure showcases post-war minimalist architecture, previously the largest brick building in the Southern Hemisphere. With a contemporary update led by FK architects, it now boasts a blend of heritage and modern design. Public spaces feature dynamic lighting and art displays through partnerships with cultural institutions, solidifying its title as the “Hotel of the Arts.”

In-room amenities include Sofitel’s signature MyBed and MySmart lighting, providing guests with luxurious comfort and convenience. The famous Wentworth Suite, previously visited by Princess Diana, will soon reopen, adding to the hotel’s storied legacy of hosting notable guests like Neil Armstrong, Audrey Hepburn, and members of the British royal family.

Dining at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is a memorable journey, with four unique venues curated in collaboration with House Made Hospitality. Choices range from tilda, with an Australian-inspired menu, to Delta Rue, a lively Vietnamese-French fusion restaurant. Guests can also enjoy nostalgic cocktails with live jazz at Bar tilda or take in city views at the rooftop Wentworth Bar.

For added exclusivity, Club Millésime offers members and guests a premium lounge experience with business and concierge services, all-day refreshments, and access for Platinum ALL members. The hotel also features over 15 event spaces, with the renowned Wentworth Ballroom—one of Sydney’s largest at 629 square meters—hosting up to 750 guests for grand events and gatherings.
