Etihad Airways will redeploy its Airbus A380 aircraft between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Paris (CDG) this summer as part of seasonal adjustments to the airline’s fleet deployment plan from 1 July to 28 October 2017. Paris will be the airline’s newest A380 long-haul destination following Sydney, Melbourne, London and New York. And we do enjoy flying on a larger aircraft.
The A380 can accommodate 496 passengers. The A380 replaces the 328 seat. Boeing 777 which services the route now. On the upper deck is the world’s only commercial airline residence with a living room, bedroom and private bathroom; First Apartments and Business Studios.
Etihad Airways’ Business Studios are bigger and offer more storage and space than its previous Coral Business Class seats which are available in the airline’s older aircraft. There are 70 of these business class seats on board the A380. Business Studios are also available on the airline’s B787 Dreamliners. Flights between Singapore and Abu Dhabi are serviced by the Dreamliner. Which means if you are travelling in Business, you’ll get to enjoy these Business Studio seats and enjoy direct aisle access, a seat that transforms into a fully flat bed with 20% more personal space. Onboard Food and Beverage Managers are on board to attend to you anytime you feel hungry or need a drink. I personally like the option to dine anytime whenever I fly onboard Etihad Airways’ business cabin.
The rest of the passengers in economy class will be accommodated in the lower deck of the A380. Etihad Airway’s A380 is equipped with 415 Economy Smart seats with ergonomic fixed-wing headrests, lumbar support and an 11-inch in-flight entertainment screen.
EY 31 will operate daily departures with the Airbus A380 aircraft from AUH at 2.15 am and arrive in Paris at 7.50am. EY32 will return from CDG at 10.40am and arrive in AUH at 7.30pm.
EY37 will be operated daily with the Boeing 777-300 aircraft departing AUH at 9.10am and arriving in CDG at 2.35pm. The return flight EY38 will depart CDG at 9.50pm and arrive in AUH at 6.40am the next day.
