Ethiopian Airlines celebrates its 70th anniversary this year and continues its mission to bring Africa together and closer to the world.
Today the Star Alliance member airline connects 51 cities in Africa with the major trading centres of the world in five continents and 41 cities around the world. That is 92 international destinations across five continents. It operates 240 flights through its main hub in Addis Ababa with 76 aircraft in service. Its fleet includes Boeing’s 787, 777-300ER, 777-200LR, 777-200 Freighter, Bombardier Q-400 double cabin with an average fleet of five years.
Ethiopian Airlines also operates Africa’s largest cargo service, largest and most advanced advanced Aviation Academy and best MRO services.
As part of the airline’s 15-year strategic plan Vision 2025, Ethiopian Airlines is working towards becoming the leading aviation group in Africa with seven business centres –

Ethiopian recently launched twice daily services to Delhi on 11 February 2016. The airline is also launching thrice weekly service to New York’s JFK airport by end of June this year after suspending flights to Newark in 2004 to provide nonstop service from Washington to Addis Ababa.
