Emirates has always allowed its customers to check in online 24 hours before departure. Now online check in has increased that to 48 hours up to 90 minutes before your flight on Emirates departs.
With online check in, you can choose your seats and reduce waiting times at the airport and also have your boarding passes before arrival at the airport. At the airport you can drop your luggage of at the online check-in counters before clearing immigration and security.
If you are flying to the United States online check in is also available 48 hours before departure but boarding passes will be issued 24 hours in advance.
Earlier online check-in will allow the airline to communicate with you should there be unexpected flight delays or disruptions. This extended check in time will also mean better availability of upgrades for Emirates Skywards frequent flyer members.
At Dubai International Airport, you can drop your luggage from six hours to 90 minutes prior to departure, at one of the 46 dedicated bag drop counters in Economy Class or separate counters in First and Business Class.
There is a dedicated USA flight check-in zone with 10 more drop counters.
