Emirates and Qantas will offer more convenience and better connections between New Zealand and Australia.

- Emirates flights to Auckland will be operated on an Airbus A380 from 1 October 2013
- Emirates continues to operate 28 flights a week to New Zealand with daily flights to Auckland from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and between Sydney and Christchurch
As part of the strategic partnership between the two airlines, the Emirates network has been opened up to include Queenstown and Wellington in New Zealand in addition to 55 Australian cities.
Emirates’ trans-Tasman services will be operated by Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft while Qantas’ services are operated by a dedicated fleet of Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.
