A new two-level premium lounge has opened at the Cape Town International Airport in South Africa for Emirates’ First and Business Class customers as well as Skywards Platinum and Gold members travelling on its twice daily flights. This new lounge is Emirates’ 39th lounge in its network and accommodates 123 people. It is conveniently located in the international departures corridor next to Emirates’ preferred boarding point in Gate A3. The airline will launch a third daily service between the two cities from 4 July 2016.
The new lounge is designed with a focus on comfort and quality. It features the airline’s new lounge design concept. The Italian marble floors, leather armchairs and walnut wood finishes create an upmarket contemporary space with a fresh relaxing atmosphere.
Guests can enjoy hot and cold gourmet food served buffet style, including local dishes. Compliment this with a selection of champagne, spirits and South African and international wines.
There is a fully equipped business centre with touch screen workstations, complimentary Wi-Fi and a dedicated lift to access the upper level of the lounge which features quiet seating area, main dining room, a second TV area, main restroom with showers and a prayer room.
The airline expects 65-70 premium customers on a daily basis at the lounge.
And the complimentary chauffeur drive service in Cape Town, dedicated check-in counters as well as its on board service, the airline ensures premium customers have a seamless, comfortable and enjoyable journey from the moment they start their travel until the arrive at their destination.
Emirates other lounges in its network represents an investment of over US$350 million.
