Emirates A380 aircraft will be flying to Frankfurt from 1 September 2014 replacing the Boeing 777 which currently serves the route. Flight EK45 departs Dubai at 8.25am and arrives in Frankfurt at 1.15pm. The return flight EK46 departs Frankfurt at 3.20pm and arrives in Dubai at 11.35pm.

Emirates has a fleet of 48 A380s, making it the largest operator globally of the Airbus superjumbo. Emirates has flown over 25 million passengers on its A380s since its launch in 2008. Emirates is also the largest A380 aircraft purchaser with another 92 pending delivery.

First Class passengers will be able to enjoy on-board shower on the  Emirates A380. Seating 519 on board the flight, the A380 represents a noteworthy advancement in reducing fuel consumption and emissions. On board Wi-Fi is also available to customers on board Emirates A380.

Emirates also operates nine freighter flights per week to Frankfurt carrying over 191,000 tonnes of cargo from Frankfurt to Dubai over the last five years. Main commodities out of Frankfurt include machinery, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and electronic equipment.

Emirates operates 63 weekly passenger flights out of Germany with double daily flights to Hamburg and Dusseldorf and triple daily flights to Frankfurt. Munich has a double daily A380 service since 30 March 2014. Emirates has flown more than 5.5 million passengers to and from Frankfurt since Emirates first commenced operations on the route in 1987.
