Ctrip, the world’s third largest online travel agency in the world and the largest in China, enters the South East Asian market by opening its regional headquarters in Singapore. Ctrip.com offers travel services such as accommodation and transportation reservations and ticketing, packaged tours and corporate travel management.

In 2014, it had a gross transaction value of RMB152 billion and total commission revenue of RMB7.8 billion. This is approximately half of China’s online travel market share. Services include bookings for up to 800,000 hotels available worldwide, flights to more than 5,000 international destinations and 1,000 packaged tours covering 100 countries and territories as well as corporate travel.

Ctrip will localise the provide quality customer service to the South East Asian market. Ctrip can help stimulate travel to nearby South East Asian cities with competitively priced products and thorough coverage throughout the region. It can also leverage on its existing infrastructure with travel related logistic or travellers visiting China.

Ctrip also has an English Language mobile platform that allows you to book train tickets in China.

It launched four local language websites on 15 April 2015 to serve travellers in this region. They can be accessed in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.

  1. Hi, I saw this hotel Hua de in Enshi Hubei and would like to book for a room but they require me to fill in the China Mobile Phone number which I don’t have.How do I go about booking the hotel on line?

    Hi, I booked air ticket for one pax on swiss.com to travel Zurich to Budapest on 19 April 2017 return from Prague to zurich on 28 April 2017. LX 2254 going, LX 1487 return. Paid through visa. I have not received a confirmation yet. Please expedite. Thank you.
