DFS has unveiled its updated duty-free stores at Singapore Cruise Centre on 2 August 2017 after getting awarded SCC’s first ever master duty-free and general merchandise concession in December 2016. With the consolidation of six categories into a single contract, DFS is able to provide a shopping haven of wines, spirits and tobacco, beauty and confectionary for travellers.
The seven outlets are located in Singapore Cruise Centre’s Tanah Merah and HarbourFront terminals. They are located in both departures and arrivals.
DFS Singapore Cruise Centre offers over 150 brands as well as an assortment of retail products from alcohol, tobacco, cosmetics, fashion and travel accessories. You can also get wines and spirits that are sold exclusively at DFS outlets. Travel Retail Exclusives in the wine and champagne category include Inniskillin, Moët et Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Wolf Blass.
The DFS store at Departures area in Singapore Cruise Centre at Habourfront lets you try different spirits before you buy. If you are into whisky, you will be at the Whisky Bar. Pick a bottle before heading over to Batam or Bintan to enjoy. Perfect for your golf game, or when you are travelling for some food, shopping and relaxing. And if you are into cocktails, try some of the concoctions available to try at no charge.
At the Confectionery store, you can purchase pineapple tarts, dried mango and almond cookies as well as chocolates from Godiva, Lindt, Cadbury, Ferro Rocher, Guylian and Toblerone.
And if you have forgotten to bring along your sunglasses or beauty products, you can pick them at the DFS Store.
At the official opening at Singapore Cruise Centre on 2 August 2017, we were treated to a lion dance. We also got to visit the store where a couple of us picked up a few bottles of whisky to enjoy during our one night trip in Batam.
