Stay at Citadines Science Park Singapore: A Nature-Inspired Urban Oasis

Citadines Science Park Singapore, which opened earlier this year, is the seventh Citadines property in Singapore operated by The Ascott Limited. This addition brings Ascott’s total portfolio in Singapore to 21 properties with 3,800 rooms.

The 250-room accommodation is designed for both short and long-term stays and is located in the Geneo complex from the 10th to the 15th floor, within the Science Park business area and close to the National University Hospital Campus. When the Geneo life sciences and innovation cluster is fully completed, it will include 3,600 square metres of retail and food and beverage spaces. Until then, residents can check out these nearby eateries or explore further to Star Vista and Holland Village.

Citadines Science Park Singapore is a 25-minute drive from Changi Airport. It’s just a 15-minute drive to Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore, and Gardens by the Bay, making it a convenient choice for guests on short stays. Additionally, the Kent Ridge Circle Line MRT Station is a five-minute walk away, providing easy access to public transportation.

The property is designed by Serie + Multiply Architects and Ascott’s in-house Interior Design tea with elements of a greenhouse that creates a tranquil and rejuvenating sanctuary.

The Rooms

There are various room types starting from 20 sqm to choose from, with the expansive 1-Bedroom Executive providing guests with a separate living area and a kitchenette complete with an induction cooker hob, microwave, full size fridge, utensils, cookware, and cutlery for a comfortable stay. This room category also includes a built-in washer/dryer. The bedroom offers ample space with both hanging and drawer storage. The 1-Bedroom Executive and 1-Bedroom Premier offer the largest space of 34 sqm.

Ample electrical points
Ample electrical points

As in all new built properties should be, Citadines Science Park Singapore has installed Universal powerpoints, USB and USB-C in its guestrooms. Other guest room categories include the 20sqm Studio, Studio Twin and Studio Executive. These room categories do not offer cooking, or washer/dryers. There is also a 26sqm 1-bedroom deluxe, 34sqm 1-bedroom Premier and the 26sqm 1-bedroom Executive Loft.

The 1-Bedroom Executive Loft features a living area with a dedicated workspace, coffee table and a modern kitchenette. The floor space may be smaller than the 1-bedroom Executive or Premier categories, but the cosy loft apartment is suitable for solo travellers and can accommodate up to two.

A filtered water dispenser is situated near the lift lobbies of every floor, a standard feature of Citadines properties.

The artwork above the bed in all guest rooms is inspired by the Citadines brand story of “The Love of Cities”. Kenneth Koh Qibao’s “City in the Garden” artwork is inspired by the lush environment of the Citadines Science Park Singapore. A series of gilded greenhouses mimic the architectural massing of the Science Park buildings. At first glance, this artwork is reminiscent of a classical oriental landscape painting with a verdant arrangement of trees and shrubs and a cityscape of glass greenhouses housing exotic plants. On closer look, there is a play in scale, a seemingly oversized watering can and garden rake reveals that the greenhouses could possibly be the scale of a tabletop terrarium.

For the opening, guests enjoy up to 25% off best available rate when they sign up as an Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) member till 31 May 2024. Rates start from S$216++ per night.
